This guide will provide a clear walkthrough to find the location, complete the immediate requirements, and understand how it connects to the game's broader mysteries.
How to Unlock and Locate the Facility
To begin this optional quest, players must first complete the main story mission at the Forest Array. Once Cal Kestis returns from this major objective, head upstairs in Pyloon's Saloon and speak to Turgle to receive the rumor details. This conversation officially marks the destination on your map across the Untamed Downs region.
Reaching the facility requires traversing the grassy plains of the Untamed Downs until you find a path near the river stables. Look for a large structure built directly into the side of the central rock formation facing Rambler's Reach Outpost. Players will need to use Cal's ability to dash across gaps in order to successfully bypass the initial threshold and gain entry.
Navigating the Control Center
Upon stepping inside the facility, you will officially enter a location known as the Alignment Control Center. Make sure to activate the nearby Meditation Point immediately to establish a fast travel node and secure a checkpoint. From this point, follow the linear hallway forward until you step onto a large, circular metal lift.
The platform will automatically descend deeper into the subterranean base, revealing a massive control facility. Step off the lift and continue moving straight along the primary walkway toward the center of the main room. As you progress, you will notice a semi-circle of seven large terminal screens lining the perimeter wall.
Completing the Rumor Objective
To finish the immediate rumor quest, locate the main control terminal positioned right at the edge of the central platform overlooking the core mechanism. Interact with this specific console to view the current system array, which will update your journal and mark the rumor as complete. Although the quest log closes here, the terminal screens tease a massive planetary puzzle for players to solve.
The seven monitors initially glow with a red backlight, representing various hidden chambers scattered across the planet Koboh. Each individual screen is directly tied to an optional Jedi Meditation Chamber that you must hunt down and complete. Once a chamber is successfully beaten, its corresponding monitor in this facility will permanently shift from red to green.
Unlocking the Ultimate Puzzle Reward
To completely solve the mystery of the Alignment Control Center, players must explore Koboh thoroughly to finish all six hidden Meditation Chambers. Additionally, you must acquire the final planetary Perk located deep within the ruins of the Devastated Settlement. Returning to the facility with all seven screens glowing green allows BD-1 to slice an opposite terminal.
Slicing this finalized terminal rewards players with a highly valuable map upgrade that displays all uncollected essences on the holomap. Furthermore, the central chamber gateway itself relates to late-game story progression that naturally unfolds as you approach the climax of the narrative.
